A Long-Standing Uniform Partnership with Somerset College

For more than a decade, we have been proud to partner with Somerset College as their trusted school uniform supplier, supporting the college with a consistent, high-quality, and cost-effective uniform solution for their community in South East Queensland.

Over time, Somerset College identified several challenges within their existing uniform range that were impacting both the school and families.

Prior to working with us, all uniform items were produced strictly on a made-to-order basis. This meant every new order required an 8–10 week lead time, making it difficult to respond quickly to demand or urgent requirements. Costs were also higher than expected, and inconsistent sizing across the range created confusion for parents when purchasing for their children.

In addition, parts of the knitwear range were manufactured in materials that were hot and uncomfortable for Australian conditions, while some core items lacked branding, resulting in an inconsistent visual identity across the uniform range.

When we took on the Somerset College uniform range, our first priority was to simplify and strengthen the foundations.

We rationalised the sizing system across all garments, creating consistency throughout the range and making it easier for parents to confidently select the correct size. This also allowed demand patterns to align across styles, improving forecasting and ensuring popular sizes were always available. To further support families, we introduced clear sizing systems in-store so parents could determine the best fit at the time of purchase.

To eliminate long wait times, we introduced a full stock-service model. By holding a year’s worth of stock on hand, Somerset College now benefits from fast, reliable replenishment — with delivery in as little as three days. In urgent cases, uniforms were even personally delivered by our team, removing the frustration of extended delays.

We also refined the overall look of the range by adding subtle, considered branding to previously unbranded items, creating a more cohesive and sophisticated uniform identity. At the same time, we replaced unsuitable knitwear fabrics with more breathable, comfortable materials better suited to the Australian climate.

One of the most impactful outcomes of this partnership was a significant reduction in cost. By restructuring the range and improving efficiencies, we reduced prices by 20–40% across the board, delivering immediate value to both the school and its families.

Somerset College was also rewarded through our Loyalty Program, enabling them to access complimentary staff uniforms, sports apparel, and promotional or merchandise items — adding even greater value beyond their core uniform range.

More recently, we supported the introduction of well-fitting, smart girls’ pants, aligning with Department of Education directives and ensuring students have comfortable, inclusive uniform options.
